My girlfriend suggested I should write a Latin song that could be used for Zumba classes. I've never been to a Zumba class and the only person I've talked to at length about them mostly told me about the fact she does "Proud Mary" by Tina Turner.
So I just wrote one that I'd like to listen to and play. I'd been listening to a lot of Weather Report and I love the way Jaco could play a bassline that would fulfil all of the harmonic requirements of the song simply by playing the notes of the chord very fast, so I tried to replicate that here.
The name of this track is from when I used to go to Murcia. When you land it looks like you're to splash down in the sea and you could look around to see people looking out the windows nervously...
